Well, I don't know about the blacks, but I can tell you the poor vote for the dems, knowing their policies will hurt them in the long run, because republicans keeps picking on the poor. If they would quit running things on their facebook and pintrest pages like "If you get foodstamps, thank someone who has a job" (ignoring the fact that most foodstamp recipients HAVE jobs, but just don't make enough to pay for both food and rent) and ran things like "Time to end cooperate welfare! Leave the tax money with the people" they would likely get more of their votes.
