Motives and Assumptions

Everyone assumes everyone else has the same motives they do.
This is the best explanation for the Democrats.

They call conservatives racists, but they are the ones making policies and laws dependent on/ decided by the color of your skin. My experience is that conservatives don't care about the "color of your skin, but the content of your character."

They call conservatives sexist but they are the ones underpaying their female employees and assume any woman who disagrees with them is stupid. They are also the ones to turn fastest to personal attacks ("She dresses ugly, wears her makeup too heavy, isn't feminine enough, etc").

They say conservatives are violent but they are the ones rioting at rallies for people they disagree with or anytime a court rules differently than they think they should, even traveling across the country to participate in the violence.

They preach gun control while hiring armed bodyguards and even packing themselves.

They preach "global warming" and "our life style will ruin the planet" while they are the ones living in 5000 sq foot homes that take as much energy to heat in a week that the average home uses in a year and fly around in private jets (like they expect us to live in the stone age so they can continue their lifestyle).

They refuse school vouchers to us while they send their children to private school.

They preach about income inequality while wearing $10,000 suits and receiving $50,000 or more in speaking fees.

In other words, a lifetime of watching politicians tells me the democrats are hypocrites. They point and yell and scream at the conservatives for all the things they themselves do.

Republicans? Most today are so involved in politics instead of life that they have no idea what the real world is. As a result, they actually believe what the media says (80% of those in the media say they are liberal or ultra liberal and that they believe most Americans are too.)

Conservatives? Not the same thing as Republicans anymore, unfortunately. Conservatives just want the government to leave them alone. They want the government to protect the borders, punish criminals, and otherwise, let every citizen take care of themselves and their family and neighbors themselves.

Is this selfish? No. If I see a neighbor without food in their home, the most efficient, compassionate way to help them is for me to go to the store and buy them some food. Sending the IRS to my other neighbor's house to take their money to give to a series of bureaucrats to give pennies-on-the-dollar to the hungry neighbor AFTER  he goes through the humiliation of the applying and proving  he isn't on drugs and isn't lying, etc.  isn't compassionate.

Contrary to what liberals say, conservatives very much believe in taking care of the poor. They just think it too important of a job for mere politicians and bureaucrats. It takes a neighbor.

They believe transactions should only be between the two people involved, not between the two people and the government nanny.

They believe the person who meets other people's needs the best should be rewarded with the money that comes naturally from a mutually agreeable transaction.
